My first experiments of copper fretwork pieces of henna designs which i then textured and shaped.
Copper fretwork samples with enamels. The turquoise colour worked really well.
Began to combine resin with my fretwork samples which was interesting to see as it is kind of different to traditional Indian jewellery
Etched some detailed henna patterns on copper in two different ways which was again interesting.
Began to combine metal and resin again but I created a mould using gel flex to create layers of resin with saree fabric and riveted the metal together.
My resin samples with textiles in different ways. I achieved some lovely colours.
Explored resin with real henna. Very different and innovative approach and i like how the dye came out giving a amber quality.
Resin with mixed materials. I think the metal and glitter was the best one as it contrasted really well together.
Resin cabochon samples with henna drawings. The blue one is lovely.
Explored using siligum molding compound and pressed my metal to create a resin version with jewels. This didn't work very well as the resin was too thin and led to some parts breaking.
Siligum to create my hanging resin jewels for my final pieces.
